FaceBook is Blocking My FB Content and This is Proof!
A Perspective on Social Media Visibility
I have become increasingly concerned about the visibility and reach of my content on Facebook. While I cannot independently determine whether my profile or individual posts are being intentionally restricted, I have noticed differences in how my content appears to be discovered by people who do not already follow me.
I have reviewed my privacy and visibility settings, and, aside from limitations involving external search results, my understanding is that my content should generally be accessible to people searching for my profile or posts. People who already follow me appear to have no difficulty viewing my content. The larger question is whether people who are unfamiliar with my profile can easily find it when searching for information or perspectives on particular topics.
I recognize that social media platforms have policies, algorithms, and moderation systems that determine what users see. Those systems are not necessarily evidence of intentional censorship, and reasonable people can disagree about how platforms should moderate and distribute content. Nevertheless, I believe users should be able to express lawful opinions and perspectives without having their viewpoints unnecessarily suppressed or made difficult to discover.
This is one reason I created and maintain my own website. Having an independent platform provides greater control over what I publish and allows me to present information and opinions without relying entirely on the algorithms or policies of a third-party social media company.
I also believe it is important to recognize that this issue extends beyond Facebook. Major technology companies, including search engines and social media platforms, have considerable influence over what information people encounter online. That influence deserves thoughtful discussion, regardless of one’s political beliefs.
I intend to continue sharing subjects and perspectives that I believe deserve greater attention, while recognizing that others may disagree with my conclusions. My goal is not to insist that everyone agree with me, but to encourage people to consider different viewpoints and make their own informed decisions.
If you find something I post informative or worthwhile, I would appreciate it if you would share it with others rather than simply clicking “Like.” Sharing gives people the opportunity to see the information and decide for themselves whether they agree with it.
You may agree with my opinions, disagree with them, or fall somewhere in between. That is part of an open and healthy public discussion. I am simply asking that differing viewpoints have an opportunity to be heard and evaluated on their merits.
I am not asking anyone for financial support. I am asking for something much simpler: If you believe my content contributes something worthwhile to the conversation, please share it.
