Windows XP Support Quickly Approaching!

If you haven't been paying attention, I have some disheartening news for you. If you are still using a computer running Windows XP, you have about a month before Microsoft ends its support for this operating system that has been around for approximately 13 years. What this means is that Windows XP will no longer receive automatically applied security updates, technical support, or hot fixes. Without critical Windows XP security updates, your PC may become vulnerable to harmful viruses, spyware, and other malicious software which can steal or damage your personal or business data and information. Above all, anti-virus software will not be able to fully protect you once Windows XP itself is unsupported. Many software and hardware vendors will no longer support their products that are running on Windows XP. For example, Microsoft Office 2013 leverages modern Windows operating systems, and won't run on Windows XP. When problems arise, online and phone-based technical support will no longer be available to assist you or your IT servicer, leaving you on your own to deal with the problem. When you call Spaulding Technology, LLC for service for your Windows XP related problem, We can no longer remedy the problems and only suggest to upgrade, or purchase a new computer. **NOTE** We definitely can assist you in transferring your files from your Windows XP computer to your new computer. The risks of system failure, business disruption, and unnecessary repair expenses will increase because of the end of support, lack of supported software, and the increasing age of the computer running Windows XP.

I’m nervous just thinking that many of you will not take this threat seriously enough. Or, have determined the amount of time, effort, and cost of an XP upgrade would require only simple adjustments in a short amount of time. But then realize and react with a predictable “deer in the headlamps” gaze that could result in a disaster. Folks, it’s time to get serious about this. And, if you’re dead-set against Windows 8 for some reason, Computers running Windows 7 are still available. Don’t be a statistic: Upgrade now before the time expires.
